Rate and tag your trips
• Star ratings: Rate your tramp, hut or campsite using the new 5-star system and see an overall rating for each listing.
• Safety tips: Choose from pre-set tags to highlight safety considerations, like ‘Steep drop-offs’ and ‘Muddy’.
• Points of interest: Choose from pre-set tags for features on the track, such as ‘Scenic views’ and ‘Waterfalls’.
Highlights pages make it easier to explore
• Everything in one place: Get key information on Aotearoa New Zealand’s top hiking and tramping destinations, including national parks.
• Helpful resources: Access safety tips, essential local services and much more to make trip planning easier.

Plan a trip to a hut or campsite, just as you would for a track
• More information: Hut and campsite listings now include booking requirements and a direct link to the DOC booking page. For campsites, powered/unpowered sites are listed and where dogs are permitted.
• Customisable gear lists: Select and edit a gear list for your trip to a hut or campsite as part of your planning.
• Weather forecasts and alerts: Stay up to date with weather forecasts and alerts for the region.
• Wishlist option: Add huts and campsites to your wishlist and mark as ‘complete’ after the trip.

Improved functionality
• Easier searching: Search using terms or references so it’s easier to find a track.
• Log past trips: Mark trips you’ve done in the past as complete so you can keep an accurate trip record.
• Auto save for trip changes: Changes to trip dates or times are automatically saved and your contacts updated.
• Expanded notes space: Trip notes now support up to 1,000 words (up from 200), giving you more room for planning.
